I saw the thumbnails of your paintings in your husband's journal and had to have a looksey. You have a very unique style of painting that is bold and expressive, yet subtle. I know I've told Andy before as I've marveled at his landscape photographs - I wish I lived in Australia......I would love to go to the exhibition in Sidney. Good luck!

i no this is going to be some kind of shock ... but hi miss... its lisa gane... and if u dnt remember me i was in ur kindy class yrs ago ... blonde chubby and swam lol ...
Thank you for your wonderful words..wow...it's amazing..i had no idea of the effect that a painting could have, but you never know. I saw an exhibition of the papunya Tula artists...aboriginal desert artists and I was just so overwhelmed that i couldn't stop crying and i have never forgotten that exhibition and of course you never know how it will affect how you paint....thank you..I will keep on painting and see what things i can do with paint and the human figure..thanks again
I adore your style. It's so colorful and energetic. I have to say, if I was able to paint well, I'd want to be as creative as you are.
I have been looking for figures like those that my mother had in her house growing up, but haven't found anything like them, until now. It was a picture by an American Indian, and I loved it because it had no face, the colors, the brush strokes. My mother always told us that American Indians never painted faces on their figures because they believe that only the God's can make a face. I've never actually checked out her statement, but it sounds enough to provoke interest and daydreams. As a little girl, I remember starring at the painting, just dreaming of who this woman was. Anyway, I have finally found an artist who paints in the same type of almost faceless figures, yet you have a very unique style all your own.
Thanks for bringing back those wonderful memories. You never know how your art will affect people, but you hope that it leaves an impression. Thought I'd let you know what your work has done for me.
